The design and manufacture of injection moulding tools, as well as the manufacture of injection moulded plastic components comply with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001, meaning that all the processes involved are subject to the strictest quality criteria.

 

Company history

In 2011, Greger company, a reliable partner for innovative moulds and tool manufacture as well as high-quality injection moulding, celebrated the 25th anniversary of its foundation. Right from the beginning, Greger has distinguished itself by its professional expertise and high degree of flexibility. That is why the company has succeeded in expanding from a one-man operation in a garage into a stable medium-sized enterprise with approx. 40 staff and a production area covering 4,000 square metres in size. This milestone anniversary is eloquent testimony to Greger’s reliability and consistent quality.

 

Main facts of the company’s success story:

1986 Norbert Greger set up the company in a garage in the Austrian town of Neumarkt am Wallersee. The company’s foundation was laid for the production of thermoset plastic components. The first business operation was the manufacture of electrical control systems.







>> Designed to perfection

Flexibility starts with design. Working closely with the customer we create surface and volume prototypes on state-of-the-art 3D CAD/CAM computer systems. Once the prototype has been checked for design and function, this computer data is then transmitted online for processing to the CNC milling machines.





1987 Takeover of Fügl Company of Salzburg in Austria, which shortly afterwards was merged with the original Greger GmbH. The production was expanded by the tool-making sector and the processing of thermoplastic materials. Two further employees were taken on.

1993 The company’s rapid growth and diversification necessitated the construction of new corporate premises in the Austrian town of Strasswalchen. In addition to the new company building, major investments in new machinery were made, which was an essential prerequisite for further growth.

 

1996 10-year anniversary. The company had already increased its staff to 15.

2004 Extension of a large storage depot for incoming and outgoing goods, covering 700 square metres. Optimisation of the warehouse logistics by means of a ‘first in – first out’ system.

Greger develops and manufactures injection moulding products that are tailored to your requirements down to the very last detail. We can offer you the additional option of final component assembly.


2006
20-year anniversary. The production facilities had already grown to 2,600 square metres in size. Almost forty dedicated employees had joined the company, and five apprentices received vocational training.

2007 Extension of new production facilities and storage depots. The production area was expanded by 1,400 square metres. Further investment in machinery.

2011 25-year anniversary. The production facilities covered 4,000 square metres, the number of employees had risen to forty; more apprentices had joined the company. To meet peak demand, personnel were leased. Fourteen state-of-the-art and heavy-duty injection moulding machines with clamping forces ranging from 35 to 700 ton ensured a highly efficient production. The annual production rose to approx. 60 million injection moulding parts. Continuous investments were made to expand the range of machinery and to automate the production process. Moreover, an adjoining plot of land for the extension of the business premises was acquired to secure Greger’s future success.
